I love working with large sizes; the bigger the better! I never know what the finished piece will be...the process pulls me to size, technique, shapes, energy level of placement of pastel and colors to place on the working surface. The art process is an intuitive placement of color pastel on the surface and at times pulled off with metal spatulas, scratched with clay implements, smudged with cloth or fingers. Layers are built on top of faded images- messages on the surface of the board. Making each piece an experience and process that is only revealed at the very end.
