CAMERA - NOT TRASH

This collection explores the intersection of sustainability and perception through handmade pinhole cameras crafted from recycled aluminum cans. Placed throughout Palouse, these unassuming cameras captured long-exposure vignettes of daily life, their extended exposures compressing time into single frames.

Camera - Not Trash acts as both the literal labeling to protect the installations, and as commentary on how we value objects. By transforming disposable materials into functional cameras, I aimed to challenge perceptions of usefulness while documenting our shared environment through an unconventional lens.

These quiet observers recorded the passage of light and movement, offering meditative perspectives on ordinary spaces through the simplest of photographic technologies.
